2 pounds sirloin, 1 onion, and 1 red pepper all sliced

3 tablespoons cornstarch

3⁄4 cup soy sauce

1 cup water

1 tablespoon garlic

1⁄2 teaspoon ground ginger

1⁄2 cup hoisin sauce

1⁄2 cup apricot jam


Sear meat in frying pan until lightly browned. Place meat, peppers, and onions in slow cooker. Combine soy sauce, water, garlic, ginger, hoisin sauce, and apricot jam in a medium bowl. Pour into the slow cooker. Cook on low for 4-6 hours.

30 minutes before serving, turn slow cooker to high. Combine cornstarch with 3 tablespoons water. Stir into sauce in the slow cooker to thicken. Serve over noodles or rice.
